The original company, Macdonald Investments Pty Ltd, was founded in 1969. At this time and until 1980, the company was involved in the stocking and marketing of general Engineering supplies, mainly to machine shops, including Tungsten Carbide tooling. The emphasis of trading gradually changed and in 1980, it was decided to concentrate on the sale of Tungsten Carbide products. To reflect this change, in 1981, the Company name was changed to Carbide International Pty Ltd.
We are continually striving to provide innovative solutions with Tungsten Carbide to increase production rates, reduce down-time and to reduce operating costs of our customers.
